| 1949 | Ed Bean starts Edmonton Crystal Glass Shop on Whyte Ave in Edmonton |
| 1958 | Second branch opens in Jasper Place, West Edmonton |
| 1966 | First B.C. Branch opens in New Westminster |
| 1973 | First Can Am warehouse opens in Burnaby, B.C. |
| 1974 | Head Office and new Storefront Division move from Whyte Ave to a new building on Calgary Trail |
| 1978 | Ed partners with long-term staff to start Western Crystal Glass with branches in Edmonton, Leduc and Lloydminster |
| 1978 | Crystalite Insulated Glass Plant opens in Edmonton |
| 1979 | First Saskatchewan branch opens in Moose Jaw |
| 1980 | Second Can Am opens in Vernon, B.C. |
| 1984 | Crystal Glass acquires Calgary Glass (originally owned by Ed's brother Frank) |
| 1985 | Edmonton distribution warehouse opens in new building |
| 1992 | Ed partners with Gordon & Francis Russell to form Crystal Kids Youth Center, supporting underprivileged youth (www.crystalkids.org) |
| 1993 | Crystal Glass acquires tempering plant Crystal Temp in Swift Current, Saskatchewan |
| 1994 | Crystal Glass employee Alfie Ogston invents the Extractor tool for windshield removal (www.extractor.ca) |
| 2002 | Opening of the Can Am Glass Products plant in Edmonton. Plant includes a tempering furnace, insulated glass production line and state of the art glass manufacturing equipment |
| 2008 | Crystal Glass merges with Western Crystal to form a single entity Crystal Glass Canada Ltd. |
